TRT World, the Turkish public broadcaster's international news channel, encountered the challenge of establishing distinct identities for its sub-brands while still preserving a cohesive link to the main brand. Given TRT World's reputation for reliable and accurate reporting as a public broadcaster, it was crucial for the sub-brands to embody the same level of professionalism and credibility.
We proposed a comprehensive brand architecture project for TRT World's sub-brands: Forum, World Citizen, Research Centre, and Academy. The initial step in this process entailed thoroughly researching and comprehending the specific goals and target audiences of each sub-brand. This enabled us to craft distinct brand identities that were tailored to the needs and characteristics of each sub-brand. We then developed visual identities for each sub-brand, including logos, color palettes, typography, and other design elements. We also created guidelines for the usage of these elements to guarantee that the sub-brands were consistently represented across all channels.
The brand architecture project proved successful in assisting TRT World's sub-brands in establishing their own unique identities while still maintaining a connection to the main brand. This helped to differentiate the sub-brands and better target their respective audiences, resulting in increased engagement and brand awareness. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in all areas, indicating that the new brand identities were successful in meeting the objectives of the project.
